Axis Moon is an Alt-Rock quartet, from Wellington, Aotearoa, New Zealand. Bending genres like psychedelic rock, grunge, and doom into one heavy alternative energy. Axis Moon come in blazing with huge riffs, swirling breakdowns and walls of sound. Drawing influence on bands like Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, and All Them Witches, Axis Moons sound captivates a refreshing yet familiar mystique. A mystique founded on rawness and tenacity.
The 4 piece coterie formed early on in 2025. Born of a deep brotherhood running back 6+ years since playing in high school bands, the members of Axis Moon share a connection that brings about a unique chemistry to their new and fresh reformation. Members of the group have shared stages with bands like King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Koizilla, and Barnaby Weir of the Black Seeds.
Currently with two single tracks released, Axis Moon anticipates their debut album to go live as of October 2026 accompanied by a music video.
